My Yoke Is Easy. God’s yoke is easy. Matthew‬ ‭11:28-30‬ ‭NLT‬‬ declares, “Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” Let God teach you His Ways. Let His Word guide your footsteps. Let God give you rest on every side. Choose to turn to Him. Choose to yoke yourself to His Word. Yoke yourself to His restoration power. God says, “Come to me and I’ll give you rest.” When you’re in the world and you’re following the ways of the world, you’re tying, or yoking, yourself to sin. Romans‬ ‭6:23‬ ‭KJV‬‬ declares, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” The payment of sin is not only physical death but also spiritual death. When you’re in the world, you’re choosing to wither spiritually. Withering is a choice. Remember Adam in the garden of Eden? As soon as he disobeyed God, he began to wither and wander in the wilderness. Adam withdrew himself from God. Don’t let sin draw you away from God. Choose to draw close to Him. Draw closer to Him everyday. His yoke is easy. His Way is Perfect. Choose to follow Him. His arms are wide open.
