Sonship sealed by the indwelling Spirit brings us peace and joy. It leads to nearness to God and fellowship with him. It excites trust, love, and vehement desire and creates in us reverence, obedience, and actual likeness to God—all this and much more because the Holy Spirit has come to dwell in us. Oh, matchless mystery! Had it not been revealed, it never would have been imagined, and now that it is revealed, it never would have been believed if it had not become a matter of actual experience to those who are in Christ Jesus.
