GIVING GRACE Because grace is shown to me, I will learn to show grace to others. Jesus was amazing about showing grace to others, even in His last moments. Though he didn’t deserve to be punished and tortured, He went through it for you and me. Though the people who were hurting Him deserved to be punished for what they were doing to Him, He said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.” That is a level of grace that is hard to wrap our minds around. But, let me ask you: how are you doing when it comes to showing grace to others? How do you react to your sibling that annoys you? How do you treat others at school who are different than you? Do you find yourself holding onto grudges or assuming the worst in people? These are tough questions to answer, but if we call ourselves Christians, we are called to show the same kind of grace to the people around us as Jesus showed to us. In your own life, where could you be more like Jesus and show grace to others when they don’t deserve it? Take some time and talk to Jesus - ask Him to reveal where those areas are in your life. Ask Jesus to show you how you can show grace to the people around you today.
