DAY 4 OF 10

Shoulders For King&Country [The video portion of this devotional is not available on your device. To view this video, visit your plan at www.youversion.com] It’s interesting how often we look to our friends, family, significant other, music, etc in our time of weakness. While these outlets can be positive, relying exclusively on them can place us in a spin-cycle of sorts that just goes around and around – powerless to ultimately change things because we haven’t tapped into God’s power. There’s this beautiful Psalm that asks the honest question, “I lift my eyes up to the mountains, where does my help come from?” Have you ever asked that in your own life? Now, you may be miles away from anything close to mountains, but the same is true wherever you are. As you look around your life, where is your source of strength? The truth is, the things of this world, friends, relationships, things, they may bring you strength for a time, but the strength of these things will eventually wane and fade. However, the strength that comes from our God, the maker of Heaven and Earth, is everlasting, and eternal. His power never fails, and it is more than sufficient for every circumstance. I pray that as you read this passage today, and reflect on this song, that you would be able to ask yourself this question honestly. Where do you find your strength? I challenge you, to place your every burden, every circumstance, and every trial, upon the shoulders of Almighty God, and allow Him to strengthen you, and lift you up!
