Let Them Have Dominion

DAY 3 OF 4

Do Not Touch. Adam’s dominion and authority came from God. God’s Word outlines the scope of your dominion. God gave Adam dominion over the entire earth. However, Adam’s starting point was the garden of Eden. The only thing, on the entire planet, that God told Adam not to touch was the tree in the midst of the garden — the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. When God orders you not to touch something, it is a restriction that’s meant for your good and not for your destruction. God’s restrictions are established for your protection. His Word is meant to groom you into everything that He has called you to be. Your success and the development of your spiritual maturity is based upon your willingness to obey God. Obeying God’s Word and living out His principles is not bondage. God’s Word positions you for expansion. Following God’s Word will lead and direct the course of your life and position your family for future growth and sustainable success. Think about it, God had given Adam authority and rulership over the entire planet and Adam’s only restriction was to not to touch the tree. Disobedience will cause you to forfeit your destiny, authority, and power. When you breach God’s borders and step beyond the bounds of His Word, in order to fulfill the lusts of the flesh, you’ll forfeit His Promises and limit the scope of your dominion. Your dominion is based upon your obedience. Serve, lead and listen well in the garden.
