Keep Going

Our purpose in life isn't found in the harvest we see; but in the seed we sow. The Lord commanded Zechariah not to despise small beginnings, but rejoice in seeing work begin.

In our lives, it can be energizing to start something new. But, once we start working towards and praying about our new pursuit, and we don't see immediate progress, discouragement creeps in. After a certain amount of time, if the progress we're looking for doesn't come, all we see is failure.

So, how do we find the courage to keep working, keep praying, and keep striving?

We remind ourselves that where we see failure, God sees hope. He is always working behind the scenes, shaping something far more powerful than we could think up on our own.

Through His Word, God encourages us not to get tired of doing good. And He promises, if we don't give up, He will open our eyes to see His glory in our lives.

Pray:

Heavenly Father, Thank You for always working on my behalf, even when I can't see it. I trust You because You are a good God, and You always have my best interests in mind. Show me the hope You have in what I'm working on today so that I can push forward and see Your plans unfold. In Jesus' name, Amen.
