Reading the Bible in Historical Sequence Part 9

DAG 3 AF 30

Ezekiel speaks judgment over the arrogant city of Tyre and severely denounces the ‘Prince of Tyre’ (Ezekiel 28:2) and the proud ‘King of Tyre who was in Eden’ (vv.12–13). He also speaks judgment against Sidon but sees God promising to restore the Jews. Note Ezekiel 28: The judgment against Tyre is particularly severe and seems to be against the spiritual power behind it. The leaders of Tyre have become so corrupted by Satan that Tyre seems to have become Satan’s headquarters. Satan is described in Ezekiel 28:11–19.
