Heavy Price 

One day Abraham Lincoln, the President of the United States of America was walking in the streets. He saw a young girl being sold as a slave and she was crying very bitterly. Lincoln’s heart was moved. He bought her from her master, took her to his home and said, “My dear, You may go. I set you free. Go and live your life.” The girl was shocked. She fell at his feet and said “Sir, are you really setting me free? If so, please set me free to serve you lifelong.” She became his trusted friend and served him with great love. 

Beloved, this is how you were also under the bondage of the devil. Jesus Christ came into this world to set you free. How did he set you free? He did not purchase you with rupees or dollars. He shed His own precious blood and purchased you. Besides that, He has set you free from every sickness, curse and power of sin. As you are purchased forever, your spirit, soul and body belong to Him. You are set free to live in overflowing peace and joy. Live a sanctified life to bring honor to His name and rejoice in it. 

Prayer

“Loving heavenly Father, I thank You for sending Jesus Christ into this world. I am purchased by the blood of Jesus. I am set free from the devil’s clutches. Lord, let your light shine in every walk of my life. May it bring many to the light of salvation. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
