Those who are not saved are alienated from God because of sin in their lives. Sin has a way of corrupting our minds because of the way we live our lives apart from God. But once we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, ask for forgiveness of our sins and invite Him into our hearts, we are reconciled to God because of Jesus’ death on the cross. Now when God looks upon us, He no longer sees our sins but rather sees the redeeming work that Jesus did on the cross on our behalf. God now sees us without blemish and free from accusation! When God forgives us, He completely forgives us… our record is wiped clean. Dear friend, are you struggling today with unforgiveness in your heart toward yourself? Do you doubt that God can completely forgive you of your sins? He can and He does! No matter what you’ve done, embrace the forgiveness God offers you through the work Jesus paid on your behalf and mine, over 2,000 years ago on an old rugged cross.
