Reuben offered to go to a cafe and talk about it further. His colleagues were curious and accepted his proposal. Over coffee, Ruben explained that he is free to go anywhere, but since he has been following Christ, his needs and desires have changed. "It's like in a marriage - you don't want to do things you know your partner doesn't like at all." As his colleagues try to follow along, they soon begin talking about different things and have such a good time together that they forget about the nightclub. When André removes his sweater because it is so hot inside, he says, "Oh well, here we can ‘pluck the day’, without being ‘plucked’ ourselves!" We belong to God twice - first, we are created by Him, and second, we were bought and paid for by Him through the sacrifice of Jesus.
