Since God hears us when we pray, we can know that God is working on our behalf. This does not mean that God will give you whatever you ask for, but that God is going to give you what is best for you. This is what a loving Father does with His children. Since we are God's child, He is going to give us what is best for us and sometimes we do not always know what that is. Sometimes we struggle to know what to pray because it can seem awkward, or we are worried that God is not going to give us what we ask for. However, sometimes it is good that God does not give us what we ask for because He knows what would happen to us if He did. When God gives us what He knows we need, we continue to become more and more like Him. God hears us when we pray, so today we are going to thank God for being a loving Father who gives us what we need, not always what we ask for. Take a few minutes to pray to our loving Father and ask Him to give us what He knows is best for us, not what we might want.
