It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like ChristmasUkázka

How often do you actually memorize things? Maybe some vocabulary words for a test? We don’t even have to memorize a phone number or someone’s Instagram handle… it’s all programmed into our devices. But we memorize scripture because the words on those pages are more than just information for us to know. When we memorize scripture, we interact with something God said in a way we don’t typically interact with things, and those words transform us. Transformation brings hope into our lives. When we memorize scripture, we’re storing God’s words inside of us so that our mind can be constantly reminded of God’s comforting words.
1. Set an alarm on your phone with “Isaiah 9:6” as the label, and take a few minutes to read over it and memorize it.
2. Make your phone background a screenshot of those words so that every time you pick up your phone you are reminded to read over it.
3. Take the last few minutes before you fall asleep to try to repeat the verse back without reading it, and wake up to do the same thing when you first roll out of bed.

Anticipation fills the air! And we start using words we never use. What even is figgy pudding, and who is Yuletide Carol? Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love appear everywhere as we count down to the birth of a savior - who promises that even in this imperfect world, we can experience and embody these four things, even now in the chaos of life.
