LOVING OUR SPOUSE

Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.

Matthew 19:6

Heavenly Father, 

I pray for marriages across the world. Satan hates marriage, and will look for every weakness to destroy the covenant that God sees as precious. We live in a selfish culture, a culture that tells us we should always seek our own happiness first, and then we become disappointed when our spouse doesn’t fulfill that happiness. 

I pray my sisters seek you first, Lord, and that they find their happiness in you. To put their happiness in their spouse first means they’re trying to make their spouse a god, and therefore, they’re setting their spouse up for failure. I pray that they see the evil intent of the devil, and his plan to divide and conquer by lying to us. Love is a choice, and we have to choose to love our spouse.
