"For everyone who has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him." Matthew 25:29 Favor is life-giving. Consider a fresh water pond. Water flows in and water flows out. It is a healthy habitat for fish, plants and animals. People are drawn to its beauty and serenity. Now picture a stagnant swamp. Algae covers the top and sunlight cannot penetrate through the water. Swarms of gnats and mosquitoes hover in pockets. Overgrown weeds surround the edge. There is an odor in the atmosphere. One landscape is certainly more appealing than the other. Similarly, a life of favor is attractive because it promotes life, increase and abundance. Just as a groundskeeper maintains a beautiful pond, God requires us to steward our favor well. When we properly manage the favor we've been entrusted with wisdom, discipline and generosity, He will grant us more. What will you do today with the favor you've been given?
