God's Peace is Perfect
It’s an early summer morning, a light fog is rising off the ground, and you slip into a canoe to quietly row across the still, glassy lake. The only sound is the oar pushing through the water and a cardinal bursting forth his morning song. To have this peaceful state in your mind, when a tornado has just landed, is the peace that passes all understanding. This peace is for you – a gift to you from Christ’s Holy Spirit. He will keep you in perfect peace, no matter the chaos surrounding you, when you open this gift and hold onto it as your very own.
Prayer of the day:
Father, I long to bask in Your peace – it is peace like no other. Drown out all the noise around me and fill me now with Your great peace.
