## Day 2 — Mission Briefing ### Pray: Lord God, quiet my soul and open my mind and heart to receive Your Word. Amen. ### Read: Psalm 22 ### Reflect David was the second king of Israel, and he lived from approximately 1040-970 BC. In this prayer, David cries out in despair, prays for deliverance from his troubles, and ends with praising God’s mercy and redemption. But, most importantly, it is a clear prediction of the crucifixion of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Consider how Jesus fulfilled this prophesy. Which verses portray Christ’s suffering? — God's mercy? — Christ's triumph? How do these verses impact my life? ### Respond My God, I am a sinner. Thank You for Your forgiveness and mercy expressed in the death and resurrection of your Son Jesus Christ. Help me to live to honor You. Amen.
