Day 1: The Living Word

Reflection:

“In the beginning the Word already existed.” With these words, the Apostle John opens his Gospel not with the birth of Christ, but with eternity itself. Jesus is not introduced as a teacher, prophet, or miracle-worker; He is revealed as the eternal Word who existed before creation. This Word was not spoken into being; The One doing the speaking created everything through Him. Everything that exists came through Him.

From Genesis to Revelation, we see that the Word of God is more than text—it is a Person. Jesus Christ embodies the message, the mission, and the mercy of God. When we open the pages of Scripture, we are not merely studying ideas about God; we are encountering the very presence of Christ.

The light that shone in creation continues to shine in every heart that receives Him. Darkness cannot overcome it. Each time you read the Bible, you’re stepping into a living encounter with the eternal Word who still speaks.
