Devotional:
The early church was under immense persecution. Peter and John had been arrested for preaching Jesus, yet instead of shrinking back, the believers gathered to pray—not for safety, but for boldness. And God responded. The building literally shook, and they were filled with the Holy Spirit, empowered to speak truth courageously.

Their boldness didn’t come from personality; it came from the Spirit. These were ordinary people who had witnessed extraordinary grace. Their courage was proof that when the Holy Spirit fills you, fear loses its grip.

I’ve seen this in my own life. There were seasons I felt pressure to water down my faith, especially in professional settings where Jesus’ name wasn’t welcome. But every time I chose to obey God and speak truth, He gave me words I didn’t plan and boldness I didn’t expect. Some of the greatest opportunities for ministry came not because I played it safe, but because I chose to be Spirit-led.

Boldness is not reckless arrogance; it’s Spirit-filled obedience. When trials come, don’t pray for an easier road—pray for a stronger back.

Holy Spirit, fill me with courage to speak Your truth in love. Help me stand boldly for Jesus, no matter the cost, and use my life to reflect Your power. Amen.
