30 Days to Confident Faithنموونە

Devotional:
For years, I wrestled with something I now callPerformance-Driven Worth. Deep down, I believed God’s love was tied to my output—how much I served, how much I accomplished, how much I did for Him. I thought if I wasn’t constantly “doing” for God, He would somehow love me less. I carried this invisible weight, believing I had to prove my value through endless striving.
The problem withPerformance-Driven Worth is that it keeps you on a treadmill of exhaustion, always running but never feeling “enough.” It distorts your view of God, making Him seem like a demanding taskmaster rather than a loving Father.
Then I went through a season called the Freedom Journey, and God began to shatter this lie. I learned that nothing I do can make Him love me more, and nothing I fail to do can make Him love me less. I am not loved because I perform well; I am loved because I am His. Period.
That realization brought a freedom I’d never experienced. Instead of serving God to earn approval, I started serving from a place of security. Instead of doing more to feel worthy, I rested in His truth:“You are worthy because of what I’ve done, not what you do.”
Paul prayed these words over the church in Colossae, encouraging them to live a life that reflected Christ’s character. Living “worthy” of the Lord doesn’t mean earning His love—His love is a free gift. Instead, it’s a response to His grace. We live worthy lives when we allow His Spirit to shape us, bear fruit through us, and use us to make an eternal impact.
Walking worthy is not about striving harder; it’s about abiding in Him. When your identity is rooted in Christ, your life naturally bears fruit—not from pressure but from presence. When you truly believe you’re loved, obedience becomes a joy, not a burden.
Thought to Ponder:
Am I serving to be seen, or serving because I know I’m already loved and chosen by God?
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for loving me, not because of what I do, but because of who I am in You. Break every lie that tells me I must perform to earn Your approval. Teach me to serve from a place of security, not striving, and help me walk worthy as Your beloved child. Amen.
