Navigating faith in the workplace can be a complex task. However, we have to shift our perspective to be effective. Remember that your job is not just a place to earn a paycheck, but it is a mission field. When we begin to see the workplace as a place to spread the transformative love of Christ, we continue to fulfill the Great Commission, bringing hope and inspiration to those around us.

Our faith is not confined to a Sunday service. God is present in all sectors and industries, and He wants to work through us in our workplaces. Our actions, when done with excellence, speak volumes about our faith. And we must also be bold enough to have the conversation and acknowledge the things that God is doing in our lives.

I'll share a brief testimony that happened even as I was completing this devotional. A few weeks ago, an intern at my job scheduled a meeting with me to learn more about my journey and tips for navigating a career in my field. During this time, they asked for my advice on what I would tell someone in their position. I shared with them the importance of being confident in their skills, talents, and what they bring to the table.

While I was sharing, I felt the presence of God come over me, and I began sharing that as a person of faith, I believe you have to know that God has you in the room for a reason. I encouraged them and spoke to them about how they would help and be an example for others like them. The intern then shared with me that they had been experiencing imposter syndrome, and that the conversation was much-needed and gave them a sense of relief. You can't tell me that wasn't a divine moment to speak into their life!

I pray that, as a result of reading this devotional, it spurs you to have more spirit-led conversations at work. You are God's chosen ambassador at your job, a significant role that He has entrusted to you. God is giving us opportunities to be his ambassadors at our jobs; we just have to be in tune with what He is doing and how He wants us to share with those we spend a great majority of our time with. No matter the industry, I believe that the practical steps shared in this devotional will help you be effective at work and enable the Body of Believers to ensure that hell is empty and as many people as possible experience the love of Jesus.

Prayer: Lord, help me take the Great Commission to my workplace and be an influential presence for the kingdom there. I pray that I can apply the tools and tips outlined over the past few days to be effective in witnessing on the job. In Jesus’ name, amen!
