Power On!نموونە

Following Jesus isn’t a casual commitment. Jesus makes it clear: being His disciple means carrying our own cross, embracing sacrifice, and being willing to lay down our desires for His will. Just like a builder carefully plans before starting a project, we’re called to count the cost of discipleship. It’s not about perfection but about surrender— choosing Him daily, even when it’s hard, even when it costs us comfort, popularity, or personal ambition.
But here’s the beauty: while the cost is great, the reward is far greater. In losing our lives for His sake, we find true life—purpose, peace, and the joy of walking with the One who carried the ultimate cross for us.
Take time today to evaluate your heart. Are you holding back, or are you fully surrendered, trusting that whatever you lay down, God will honour within in His perfect plan?
Prayer:
Lord, would you help me to pick up my cross? To recognise that you are calling me to a life of sacrifice, but that the reward is truly worth it. Help me live a surrendered life to Your will. Amen.

With Jesus, we want to go from "standing by" to stepping out! Through these readings, experience stories of when God led people to turn "on" their spiritual power and saw the Holy Spirit move through them. God is ready to do miracles on Earth, but we can miss out on what He is ready to do by staying in the boat like Peter nearly did. These Scriptures will encourage you to step out of the boat and see the Power of the Holy Spirit move!
