The Need to Pray for Bible Translation (Isaiah 60:3)

God's heart beats for the nations. He wants all people to experience the hope of Jesus. The Gospel brings the light of truth wherever it goes—transforming lives, communities, and entire nations.

Yet nearly a billion people still lack Scripture in a language that speaks to their heart. From remote villages to crowded cities, people wait in spiritual darkness. Some have heard of Jesus and hunger to know more. Others have never heard His name.

The good news is, hope is rising: the global Church is on track to provide all people access to God's Word by 2033.

The prophet Isaiah envisioned this moment:

"Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn." —Isaiah 60:3

We are closer than ever to seeing Isaiah's vision become reality. Today, will you join us in praying for the light of God’s Word to be accessible to all people in our lifetime?

The Bible Translation Prayer

God, Your Word is more precious than all I possess (Psalm 19:10).

Your Scripture gives light to my path and directs my steps (Psalm 119:105).

Through Your will alone, lives are transformed and minds made new (Romans 12:2).

So I now pray for all people that do not yet know You (1 Timothy 2:1–6).

For You’ve promised that Your voice by every tribe and nation will be heard (Revelation 7:9).

So equip us by Your breath to provide every heart language with Your Word (2 Timothy 3:15–17).

Amen.

For the next six days, we’ll journey line by line through The Bible Translation Prayer, reflecting on these powerful Scriptures together. Each day, we’ll focus on one promise from God’s Word and ask Him to move mightily so that every person, in every language, can access the hope of Jesus in a language they clearly understand. Let’s lift our hearts in faith and join the global Church in praying for God’s light to reach the nations through Bible translation.
