Die oë van die HERE is op die regverdiges, en sy ore is oop vir hulle hulpgeroep. Die aangesig van die HERE is teen die wat kwaad doen, om hulle gedagtenis van die aarde af uit te roei. Die regverdiges roep, en die HERE luister en verlos hulle uit al hulle benoudhede. Die HERE is naby die wat gebroke van hart is; en red die wat verslae van gees is. Die ellende van die regverdige is baie, maar die HERE verlos hom uit almal. Hy bewaar al sy gebeente; nie een van hulle word gebreek nie. Onheil sal die goddelose doodmaak, en die wat die regverdiges haat, sal 'n wildernis wees. Die HERE verlos die siel van sy dienaars, en niemand van die wat op Hom vertrou, sal 'n wildernis wees nie.
