Job het toe opgestaan, sy mantel geskeur, sy kop kaal geskeer, op die grond neergeval en in aanbidding gebuig. Hy het gesê: “Naak het ek uit my moeder se skoot gekom, en naak sal ek na die skoot van die aarde terugkeer. Die HERE het gegee en die HERE het geneem. Mag die Naam van die HERE geprys word! ” Ondanks dit alles het Job nie gesondig nie en aan God niks ongerymds toegeskryf nie.
