Ons lees in die boek Levitikus dat die Here met Moses gespreek het rakende die heilige samekomste: “Spreek met die kinders van Israel en sê vir hulle: Die feestye van die HERE wat julle moet uitroep as heilige samekomste – dit is my feestye” (Lev 23:2).
