Job het toe opgestaan. Hy het sy klere stukkend geskeur. Hy het ook sy hare afgeskeer. Daarna het hy op die grond voor God geval. Hy het gesê: “Naak het ek uit my ma se skoot gekom, en naak sal ek weer wees die dag wanneer ek doodgaan. Die HERE het my alles gegee wat ek gehad het, en nou het Hy dit alles weggeneem. Prys die Naam van die HERE!” In alles wat gebeur het, het Job nie gesondig nie en God nie verwyt nie.
