Day 3: Trust God’s Way is Better

Healing doesn’t always come the way we expect. So many times, we imagine how it could or should all work out. We may pray in faith and still face silence. We believe for restoration, and things get worse before they get better. Most times, God really doesn’t do what we ask in the way we imagine; it usually looks different.

That’s when trust becomes a choice. God never promised healing on our terms. But He did promise His presence, His goodness, and His immovable faithfulness.

Healing begins in us much deeper than what we can see—working first in the heart, in the patterns of our thinking, and in the quiet places where fear and disappointment live.

Isaiah 55 reminds us that God’s ways are higher. He sees what we cannot. He knows the whole story—beginning, middle, and end. And He’s not in a hurry. He’s patient with our process.

So today, if you’re still waiting...wondering why things haven’t changed…if you feel overlooked or left behind, know God is doing something.

What is faith? "Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen." (Hebrews 11:1 ESV).

You can trust Him. He is working, even when the evidence hasn’t shown up yet.

Today’s Declaration

Even when I don’t understand, I trust that Your ways are higher than mine.

Moment of Reflection

  • Where have you been struggling to understand God’s timing or direction?
  • What would it look like to surrender your expectations to Him today?

A Prayer to Begin

God, I don’t always understand what You’re doing—but I want to trust You. Help me release my timeline and rest in Your character. Remind me that You are not slow or silent, but faithful and wise. I surrender my expectations now, and ask You to lead me in healing, in Your way and Your time. In Jesus’ name, amen.
