For the Love of Ruth预览

Right Person. Right Season. Right Time.
“So Boaz took Ruth, and she became his wife. When he made love to her, the Lord enabled her to conceive, and she gave birth to a son.”
—Ruth 4:13 (NIV)
There’s something so powerful in this verse—so easy to overlook, but rich in revelation: Ruth conceived.
It may seem like just another sentence in the story, but let’s take a closer look.
Ruth was married for ten years to her previous husband, and yet during that entire time, she never conceived a child. Not once. No children. No legacy. No fruit from the union.
But then, in one night with Boaz—the right person, in the right season, at the right time—she conceived a son. The silence of ten years was broken in a single act of divine alignment.
One of the things I love most about God is this: He will not allow you to birth with the wrong person, in the wrong place, or in the wrong season. He loves you too much to let you carry something that doesn’t match your calling. He protects what you’re meant to birth—both spiritually and physically—because what you carry is purpose.
I remember grieving in past seasons when it seemed like nothing was coming together for me—dreams delayed, prayers unanswered, doors unopened. But looking back, I see the mercy of God in that “no.” He knew what I didn’t. He was aligning my womb—my heart, my life, my destiny—for the right time.
When God opens your womb, it won’t just be for anything. He opens it for something significant.
He knows exactly what you need to carry:
A book.
A business.
A marriage.
A ministry.
A dream.
A baby.
A breakthrough.
And not only does He know what you’re called to carry, but He knows when you’re ready to birth it.
Don’t let the world's timelines pressure you. Don’t let culture tell you when you should have arrived, birthed, succeeded, or launched. They are not your Creator. They don’t know what still needs to be healed, restored, delivered, or consecrated in your life.
Only God knows your womb. Only He knows your due date.
So be encouraged: what didn’t happen before wasn’t wasted. It was protection. And when it is time, it will happen quickly, just like it did for Ruth.
Trust God with your next. He’ll let you know when it’s time to level up.
Reflection Questions:
- Have you ever grieved over something that didn’t happen, only to realize later it wasn’t the right time?
- What has God placed on your heart to carry? Are you trusting His timing to bring it to birth?
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for protecting me from premature births in relationships, plans, or dreams. Help me to trust Your timing, Your placement, and Your provision. I believe that You are preparing me for something purposeful. Align my heart with Your will. Align my life with divine timing. I won’t rush. I won’t compare. I will wait on You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
