Jesus Sends Out the Seventy-Two / Jesus and Bartimaeus
Listen to "Jesus Sends Out the Seventy-Two / Jesus and Bartimaeus":
Reflect
Do you believe that there are still people today who want to hear and receive the good news? Sometimes we lose heart in sharing our faith. No one likes to be rejected or ridiculed. Yet, around the world today, many eagerly await the gospel. They may be the least likely ones, and they may be hard to find.
Jesus sent 72 of His followers to tell of the coming salvation. They dispersed throughout the region and afterward returned with their reports. Simple obedience led to joyful results. Are you willing to go wherever Jesus sends you?
The story of blind Bartimaeus aptly illustrates someone eager to open their heart to the Savior. Jesus asked, “What do you want me to do for you?” Bartimaeus answered readily, “I want to see.” He asked, and he received. How about you?
● Where might the Lord be sending you?
● How would you answer Jesus’ question, “What do you want me to do for you?”
