AUTHOR:
The author of Jude is "Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ and brother of James" (1:1 ESV). That would make both Jude and James half-brothers of Jesus.
DATE:
Jude was written shortly after 2 Peter, but before the destruction of the temple in AD 70, making it between AD 67-69.
AUDIENCE:
Jude most likely wrote to believers from the Dispersion who were possibly located in Antioch since it was a hub and easily accessible for false teachers.
REASON:
Jude wrote because false teachers were influencing the church and causing believers to stray away. Jude is encouraging them to stay strong and fight for their faith.
