Looking at the Church as a whole today, I think you'll agree that we are divided...not walking in the unity Jesus desired for us. And oftentimes we don't even try to understand those we disagree with.

One of the biggest divisions is between those who believe in the outworking of the Holy Spirit through signs and those that are just focused on head knowledge or learning the Bible.

Two different takes on scripture.

Tons of disagreements.

It all reminds me of the Jew and Gentile tension that Paul was dealing with when writing to the Romans. His main objective, besides preaching the gospel, was to unify the church. Each group had different views, but each group was necessary for the church to function properly.

Just like it is today. We get so caught up in which view is correct, when in reality Jesus is coming back for His Bride. Singular. Not His Non-Denominational Bride. Not His Pentecostal Bride. Not His Lutheran Bride. He is coming back for His ONE, spotless Bride.

We are all in this together. Jesus is coming back for US, the Church, and He loves his Bride more than anything.

So as one group of people are being used by God to perform miracles and are speaking in tongues and another group is spending their time combing scripture for answers on End Times theology, we need to love them the same.

Spirit and Scripture. Both are necessary.
