Day 16 – How Offense Hinders Our Peacefire Stories

Devotional

In the spiritual battle of conflict, offense is a powerful trap the enemy uses to hinder our relationship with Jesus Christ. Satan’s goal is to keep us stuck in offense so we lose our peace and become ineffective in God’s work. When we hold onto offense, we risk despising those who have wronged us, forgetting that Jesus commands us to love even those who offend. Despising others plays into the enemy’s hands and keeps us focused on conflict’s wildfire rather than God’s Peacefire. As followers of Christ, we are called to reject the trap of offense, love others as God loves us, and pursue restoration and peace.

Reflection Question:
Are there people you despise or who despise you? How can you respond to Jesus’ call to release offense and seek restoration instead?

Prayer:
Lord, protect me from the trap of offense and help me see others through Your eyes. Teach me to love as You love, even those who have hurt me. Strengthen my relationship with You so I can walk in Your peace and resist the enemy’s lies. Amen.
