March 28 Introduction Today’s reading is the first part of Solomon’s prayer of dedication of the Temple. In his prayer, Solomon acknowledges God’s faithfulness and the fulfillment of God’s promises. He asks God to hear his prayers and those of the people. Scripture Reading 2 Chronicles 6:12-21 Today’s Key Verse: 2 Chronicles 6:14 [Solomon] prayed, “LORD God of Israel, in all heaven and earth there is no god like you. You keep your covenant with your people and show them your love when they live in wholehearted obedience to you.” Reflect What is included in Solomon’s prayer? How would you describe his prayer? How would you describe your own prayer life? In what ways do you experience a covenant relationship with God? Pray Lord God, in your home in heaven, you hear us when we pray. Trusting in your forgiving love, I offer you my repentant heart. In your holy name, I pray. Amen. And now, join us in praying that the life-changing power of God’s Word will reach the four corners of the earth. Poverty, persecution, oppression, illiteracy, disability – these are among the reasons why people around the world are cut off from God’s Word. Holy God, we lift up End-to-End Ministry, an initiative that seeks to introduce and distribute the Bible in regions where it has never been shared and where access to the Scriptures is limited. By watching a screening of the JESUS film, attending audio Bible listening groups, and receiving their own copy of God’s Word to read and study daily, new Christ-followers are being reached. We praise you, Lord God, that unreached people now have the opportunity to experience the transformative power of the gospel. Amen.
