Who are those "who are "in Christ Jesus?" What does it mean to walk? Can it be the same as, or so very close to the word live in verse 5? "For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit."? A different way to say we "live by" the Spirit might be that we are "guided by" the Spirit. Does that thought help you?
