A Conqueror Conquers All - Devotional Day 5

Allow me to do the honours by pressing play on the victory soundtrack. The melody of a conqueror, a warriors' anthem, as the king holds your crown in His hands with His golden sceptre on His side waiting, for you at the finish line, you aren’t even short of breath because you breathe the breath of life, inhaling the comforts that Jesus beholds—the long awaited peace, the unlimited joy, the unimaginable love, and His faithfulness. Whilst exhaling the toxic dust of fear, the unspeakable hurt, the cloudy doubt, and the nasty hate.

Now it’s just you in the ring of purpose...as Jesus is your coach and the Holy Spirit your referee.

In that space...you stand there... looking at your opponent with zero intimidation, but rather like a lamb that knows they are not alone. Your enemy is looking for the perfect place to strike you with a knockout punch... but little does he know, your hands are trained for battle (Psalms 144:1), your fists have broken the jaws of the ugliest demons, those hands…they aren’t ordinary. No! They have been equipped with the Word of God, concealed in the master's artwork draped around your bones where your flesh meets the fine print of His quilt of gold... your veins beat with the rhythm of heaven...Vic-to-rio-us, Vic-to-rio-us, Vic-to-rio-us, like an old school anthem signalling a food fight...the angels are drumming to the beat of your Character; it’s all moving in rhythm…heaven is dancing with you in that ring...as you shuffle to the left, duck and block every hit, they join you. “Peace be still,” the Holy Spirit tells you, reminding you that you are not alone. Heaven is always backing you up.

Victorious is what they call you. Your enemy knows that too...but he tries to make you see yourself through the lens of “I’m not qualified for this,” “I’m too weak,” “I'll never win,” (reverse psychology is your enemy's trick).. He uses what he is to make you think that that’s what you are… he is the weak one because you have Jesus who is your strength (2 Corinthians 12:9). He is the unqualified one because you have already been qualified and promoted even to be an heir with Christ (Romans 8:17). He is the loser because THE BATTLE HAS ALREADY BEEN WON THROUGH THE CROSS OF JESUS CHRIST (Colossians 2:13-15). Your mind is girded with the truth now, and every vulnerable spot you had is covered by your Armor.

Blows are fired at you, but each one is a miss… as you stretch out your hand and hit the enemy where it hurts most… hitting him with the powerful Truth…the Word of God…It. Is. Finished. Your enemy is powerless... still trying to get up and fight.. but you hit him AGAIN… and AGAIN and AGAIN...the hot punches of the WORD of God have sent him packing.

The Holy Spirit blows the whistle. Jesus runs to hug & celebrate with you. You can, and you will, always be victorious if Jesus Christ is your foundation. Fight the good fight! Be about your father’s business this year and this new season.

Prayer

Father, you have trained my hands for war, and you have called me victorious even before the battle has begun. Thank you for the Cross of Jesus Christ, thank you that through His death, He defeated the enemy once and for all. Lord, give me a winner's mindset. Help me fight the good fight daily. Overcoming every arrow being thrown my way. Let me be geared up, wearing my Armor daily. Lord, please always remind me that you are constantly by my side. Help me enforce the victory you won for me. King of Kings and Lord of Lords, help me fulfil your purpose in my life, all for your glory.
