To be redeemed means to be bought back. The truth is that before our salvation, we were under the dominion of the devil. We were sinful people on our way to hell. Jesus came into this world to die for us. He paid for our sins with His precious blood that was shed on the cross of Calvary.
He bought us back from our sin and from the devil. He redeemed us, and now we belong to God. Redemption is a wonderful truth that we should celebrate every day, knowing we belong to the King and are no longer enslaved to our sins or to Satan.
