Back to the Basics 365

DAY 163 OF 365

How come when I pray for something, my prayer does not seem to be answered?

We should pray according to God’s will. A good parent may not always give their child what they want because the parent knows that the child’s desire is not the best for the child’s well-being. Similarly, God knows that what we want may not always be best for us. God may not give us what we ask for at all, or He may not give it to us right away. This does not mean that God has failed us; rather, God loves us too much to give us our desires if they will harm us, even spiritually.

Trust that the Lord knows and will do what is best when you pray. Is there a prayer request that you have given up on? Pray and pray again!
