Why do we say, “In Jesus’ name, amen” when we pray?
When we pray in Jesus’ name, we pray acknowledging the power behind His Name and His authority. Someone once said, “We come to God in Jesus’ name, not our own.”
Remember that when you enter God’s presence in prayer, you are entering on the authority of Jesus. We cannot access God’s throne on our own; we pray straight to God through our mediator, Jesus Christ. Remember this and slow down at the end of your prayer and boldly proclaim, “In Jesus’ name, Amen!" We should pray in Jesus’ Name!
