God Is Never LateНамуна

Don't Help God
I want to close this Bible reading plan by telling you something you shouldn't do, and that is to be like Sarah. God promised Sarah and Abraham that they would have a son, an heir. But when Sarah saw that the Lord took his time as the years passed by as well as losing her vitality, she decided to "help God." She had a "great idea", a decision to give Abraham her servant, that she would have a son who would be born on her knees and be her heir. This was an idea that seemed good to Abraham, but do you know what she achieved with all this? Sarah raised Ishmael, the greatest enemy Israel has had to this day. Do you want to help God? Think twice.
If God has promised you something, you should know that He will fulfill it. The Bible says in Numbers 23:19, "God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent." He doesn't need you to push Him or help Him, He doesn't need you to get angry or to keep accounts of His timing. If we could, we should cling to His promises because they will surely be fulfilled.
When trials come, don't run. Stay still and wait for God because He is looking for an opportunity to bless you and give you much more, just as He did with Job. If God is taking his time, it's because something greater than what you are expecting is coming for you.
So in the midst of the storm, rise up and declare, "I know that my redeemer lives."
