Quiet Time Moments for Women - 30 DaysНамуна

Your Private Life of Prayer
While Jesus was here on earth, he offered prayers and pleadings, with a loud cry and tears...
Hebrews 5:7, NLT
A new Christian asked a friend to recommend the best books on prayer. “Get any book written by E.M. Bounds,” her friend replied. Bounds was passionate about prayer and was known everywhere as a man of prayer. His books about prayer have motivated thousands to set aside time in their busy schedules and pray. The prayer life Bounds wrote about for the public was exemplified in the company he kept with his Lord in private. He daily communed with God for hours.
Jesus cultivated a private life of prayer. He was known to offer prayers and pleadings to His Father, and God heard His prayers. He often withdrew to lonely places to pray (Luke 5:16, NASB).
How can you become a woman of prayer? Follow the examples of Jesus and Bounds. Always cultivate a rich, private quiet time alone with God in prayer.
Lord, I want to become a woman of prayer. Help me set aside the many things that I might keep company with You in private. Amen.
