Presence 12: Arts That Inspire Reflection & PrayersНамуна

God Over All
This verse in Amos paints a majestic picture of God’s power and sovereignty. He is not a distant deity or a passive observer. He is the Builder of the heavens, the Architect of the earth, and the Commander of the seas. Everything we see—the sky above, the ground beneath, the waters that sustain life—responds to His voice.
And yet, the verse closes with a deeply personal reminder: “God, your God, does all this.” The God who holds galaxies in His hands is your God. The Creator is also your Sustainer. The One who commands oceans is the same One who cares for your soul.
When life feels unstable or out of control, return to this truth: God is not only powerful, He is present. And He is working, even when you cannot see it.
Reflection:
Where do you need to be reminded of God's control today? What would it look like to trust that the God who holds the seas can also hold your situation?
Prayer:
Lord, You are mighty beyond words, and yet You are near. Help me to rest in Your power and remember that You are my God. When life feels overwhelming, anchor me in Your unshakable presence. Amen.
