Strength for Today

Sometimes the rest we need is found in the courage we gain in God’s presence. When we are overwhelmed by our circumstances, we might try to find rest in a multitude of ways. We search for comfort, reprieve, and solace wherever we can. It’s important to remember that true rest comes only from God. We can relax when we realize that he is in control, and everything he does is for our good. We can breathe deeply as we recognize that we are safe in his hands.

God is with us no matter what we face. His presence is our refuge and our comfort. Christ is our present strength, and we are not meant to depend on our own ability to persevere. In all things, we are called to lean on the Lord. It doesn’t matter how strong or weak we feel. God is near, and he is our help. He empowers us far beyond our own abilities.

Memorize today’s Scripture, coming back to it time and again throughout your day. God’s Word is powerful and poignant. It can strengthen you even when everything within you is telling you to panic or worry. Dwelling on the Word can help you shift your focus from your own thoughts and fears to the promises of God. As you fill your heart with truth, you’ll find that God is more than able to carry you through whatever you are facing.

Move forward with confidence, knowing that nothing is too stressful for God to manage. Anything that is required of you can be achieved with the strength of Christ. He has already gone ahead of you to prepare the way, and he is with you now to guide you. Through him, you are fully equipped to face the days, weeks, and months ahead. God is on your side, and he is eager to help you.
