Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year OneНамуна

For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand? (Revelation 6:17).
How bad is the Tribulation?
Amos describes himself in Amos 7:14, "I was no prophet, nor was I a son of a prophet." Yet he calls Israel to repent of their sin and also explains the Day of the Lord. He writes, "It will be darkness, and not light. It will be as though a man fled from a lion, and a bear met him! Or as though he went into the house, leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him!" (Amos 5:18-19). John records the period known as the Day of the Lord, or the Tribulation, in Revelation 6-19. One half of the world's population will die in the first half of the Tribulation (Revelation 6:8; 9:18). Thankfully the Rapture comes before the Tribulation to deliver us from God's wrath (Romans 5:9; 1 Thessalonians 1:10; 5:9).
Employment Point: Believe on Jesus' finished work to escape the wrath of God.
