Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year OneНамуна

Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? (2 Corinthians 6:14-16).
Have you separated yourself from false teachers?
Paul asks five rhetorical questions in 2 Corinthians 6:14-16 to make the following point: Jesus and Satan don’t mix. False teachers have permeated the Corinthian church. For this reason, Paul gives three commands, “Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you” (2 Corinthians 6:17). Paul warns his children in the faith that if they will leave the false teachers and cleave to God, then He will treat them again like blessed sons and daughters.
Employment Point: Do not sit at the feet of false teachers but separate from them.
About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions helps readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word.
