Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year OneНамуна

So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom (Psalm 90:12).
Are you growing in wisdom by making each day count for God?
Moses reminds us that the eternal God is our security (Psalm 90:1-2). He alone is eternal and has “been our dwelling place in all generations” (Psalm 90:1). Conversely, man is frail. “You turn man to destruction,” pens Moses (Psalm 90:3). Moses uses the Hebrew word that means man in his frailty. James concurs with Moses about the brevity of life. “It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away” (James 4:14). Moses and James would encourage us to do the math concerning our brief earthly stay. “So teach us to number our days,” writes Moses, “that we may gain a heart of wisdom” (Psalm 90:12). God’s wisdom is available for those who live for Him.
Employment Point: Make each day count for God and glean His wisdom.
About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions helps readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word.
