Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year OneНамуна

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind (Romans 12:2).
What are you putting into your mind?
You have heard it said that physically, you are what you eat. Biblically speaking, spiritually, you are what you think. Paul desires the believers in Rome to offer themselves as “a living sacrifice” to God (Romans 12:1). The soul, spirit, and body should be dedicated to God. Believers are not to be squeezed into the mold of this world’s system, which means participating in the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. Rather, “bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:5) should be our goal. We are now to put off the old man and put on the new (Ephesians 4:22, 24). Moreover, Paul writes, “be renewed in the spirit of your mind” (Ephesians 4:23).
Employment Point: Transform your mind through filling it with God’s Word.
About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions helps readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word.
