The Shepherd (S1-E9)Намуна

What do you want to learn?
Acts 2 gives us one of the most inspiring pictures of the early church. The believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, to fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer. They shared what they had, cared for one another, worshiped together, and saw God move in powerful ways. Reading this passage, you can almost feel the joy, unity, and life of that community. Who wouldn’t want to be part of a church like that?
One phrase stands out: “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching.” At first glance, that might sound formal or distant. But imagine what it was actually like to sit and listen as the apostles told firsthand stories of Jesus. They had walked with Him, eaten with Him, seen His miracles, and witnessed Him resurrected. Every teaching was a living memory of being with Christ Himself.
In this episode of The Chosen, one of the shepherds approaches a Pharisee with a question, only to be dismissed with a condescending response. Yet that desire to learn is exactly what God honors. The shepherd’s curiosity reflects the heart of a disciple: someone hungry to grow, to ask, to seek, and to know God more deeply.
So, what do you want to learn? What are you reaching for?
There are many ways to grow in faith, but the best place to begin is the Word of God. Scripture isn’t static; it’s living and active. Through it, God still speaks, guiding, challenging, comforting, and transforming. If you want to grow, open your Bible. Read. Reflect. Ask questions. Listen. The Holy Spirit delights to teach you exactly what you need to know for today.
Is your heart open to learn?
