What is worship? What does it consist of?
There’s an interesting moment in the Gospel of John that can give us insight into this.
Read: John 6:66-69 (NIV)
The heart of worship begins with a revelation of who God is.
Peter had something the others apparently didn’t: revelation. Peter not only knew that Jesus could perform miracles and that his words were different than just anybody’s, but more than this, he had a revelation of Jesus’ nature: “The Holy One of God.”
It’s no different for us today. Understanding the heart of worship first consists of understanding who we worship.
Today, take a moment and consider who Jesus is.
Do you have a revelation of who He is? Do you know him?
A revelation of who God is will impact your worship of Him in incredible ways. The greater you know him, the more you will worship Him.
Be encouraged to know that He wants to reveal Himself to you today. This is the first step in understanding the heart of worship.
