Deliverance From Evil

DAY 6 OF 10

Wandering through the Wilderness

Here’s the thing about the wilderness: it is an unavoidable part of the journey to freedom. And while these seasons may feel desolate and dry, it is important to understand God is using this time to build our faith by teaching us how to trust and rely on him for safety and sustenance.

You see, after God has dealt with the oppressive entities that have kept us bound, we may feel “empty inside” because God has cast out the oppressive spirits that have kept us bound.

Notably, a lot of people who experience deliverance usually give up or suffer a relapse at this stage simply because feelings of loneliness and hopelessness overwhelm them in their desert season.

Still, no matter how desolate the journey ahead may appear, there is deliverance and freedom on the other side. The enemy recognizes this fact, too, and that is why he will do his utmost best to try and make us feel like their situation is hopeless so that we can quit while we are ahead.

If we go by what we perceive and feel and allow ourselves to yield to a defeatist mindset, sooner or later, we will give up, a move that automatically guarantees willful submission to a life of bondage.

On the contrary, if we choose faith over feelings and allow God to lead us through our wilderness season, the oppressive spirits that once kept us enslaved to negative thinking patterns and their accompanying sins will become restless in the dry places and be forced to flee.
