Love, a pure heart, a good conscience, a sincere faith—those don’t seem like the easiest things to have, do they? Maybe we all want to be people who easily love others, or have good hearts, or make wise choices, or have a deep faith in God. But actually doing those things? Much harder! The good news is that we don’t have to do it alone. The moment we believe in and follow Jesus, the Holy Spirit comes to live in us. And it’s only with the Spirit of God living in us that we can transform into the people God calls us to be.

This week, pick just one of the qualities this verse lists, and ask God to help grow that in you. As you focus on that, let it remind you of the God who made you!
